Women are naturally born with capability to do every task with exceptional quality!

An Interview with Niraimathi HR Polaris
“As women, we by nature are meticulous, have eye for details, keen listeners and always active. Have you seen any woman in their house sitting with newspaper and a coffee in the hurry-burry morning time?” asks Niraimathi, HR of Polaris Software Labs.

Education & Career:
Niraimathi did her schooling in Chennai and Ooty. She did her graduation in English Literature and MBA in HR from Ethiraj College. She also holds a PG Diploma in HRM from Madras School of Social Work.
Niraimathi has got about 15 years of experience. She started her career with American Express where gained experience in Sales and Marketing and HR. She then moved to RPG Group and then into Polaris as a HR Manager.

Learning’s:
Niraimathi says she learns something or the other everyday from people around her. “I have learned so much from people around me, be it my supervisor or my neighbour. You know if you learned so many things everyday every person is a tutor to you, like everything that you see, I learn so much from my daughter because at her age I would have never thought that I could have done these things”

 Being a HR Manager:
Getting into the role of a HR has helped her a great deal to handle herself and her family as well as she started to master the art of handling people around.
“This role has made me a better human being because we learn so much about human psychology. For example, I had a supervisor who will say, I will never give you clarity, you have to think and work and convert your thoughts into action. It is actually because of my supervisor, I was able to bring out what was within me, otherwise I would have just sat back and kept quiet!” says Niraimathi.

Family:
Niraimathi has a teenage daughter and she has learnt the art of handling both work and home without any hassles from both the sides. She utilizes the weekend spending quality time with her family. She however feels there is less time that she puts on for taking care of herself. “Husband and Children are my priority”, she enjoys being this way!

Words for Women jobseekers:
“Enough number of opportunities are available for women today. What exactly you want to do and where exactly you can achieve and sell yourself. If you know that, then it is very easy for you to go and tap the right resources and get it. If you need to spend more time in your family and you can work only for a couple of hours even then you have lot of projects where people are required who can work from home like Content Management, Transcription and content writing kind of work. And based on what skills you have, you need to tap the right resources for getting this kind of work.” advices Niraimathi.

“The quality of work is tremendously high in different order when its come to a woman. All she needs to do is find out about herself, her skills and her goals. She will attain it all for she is made that way!” declares Niraimathi feeling proud of being a woman every bit.
